How I Make This Work
Right now, I work as a food delivery courier to pay the bills. It gives me something that a normal 9-5 job doesn't: flexibility.
I can work when I need to, cover my expenses, then spend the rest of my time working on websites, animation and other creative projects.
The long-term plan is to gradually shift towards making things for a living, with courier work providing a flexible way to support that along the way.
Not having to travel to an office or work fixed hours is a huge benefit. It means I can actually use my time to make things.
Building My Own Path
That flexibility is important because my goal is straightforward: I want to make a living from creative work.
I'm building Adamated as a home for my animation, illustration, web development and other projects, while taking on work that lets me use those skills professionally.
Courier work gives me the freedom to cover my expenses while I build that career. As the creative work grows, the aim is to gradually replace more of the courier work with projects I actually want to spend my time doing.
I'm not looking for a conventional career. I'm building my own.
Outside of Adamated, I also run London Nosh, a separate project about cycling, food and life in the gig economy.
